October Meeting - Creative Autumn

Our topic leading up to this meeting was Creative techniques for Autumn photography.

Ann showed some examples from the web and some of her own images showing 1. multiple exposures 2. slow shutterspeed with zooming or moving the camera vertically or more randomly 3. choosing good weather conditions (plus sometimes a bit of computer help!) or 4. Using available software packages (eg ColorEfex) or more extreme manipulation to enhance scenes

Paul Ashley had been experimenting with a closeup lens for his Digital camera giving very close focusing distances and very small depth of field

Chris showed us 7 images from Brandon country park including focus stacked fungi and 6 images from Anglesey Abbey.

Lynn's first image is a composite of bracken against a background of a closeup of the surface of a Henry Moore sculpture and was a favourite with the group.
Peter Cramp gave us a variety of Autumnal scenes - many of these would look great in our Aperture Fenland Gallery - now transferred to the main website so Members can add their own images.

See October Gallery for other contributions on the evening from Helen, Jenny and Richard
